PROMISE OF MAGIC

Is the world you created for us real?
A place to go when you can no longer feel
A place of welcome from an old friend
A place where happiness doesn’t end

Im too old to believe in magic
I've lived a life of pains and stories tragic
Heart's been broken, stories with sad endings
Another hurt when my heart's still mending

I want to believe in your magic shop
And go to that place where our hearts wont stop
Dancing and laughing, where the music won't end
A chance for our stories to begin again
When Once-Upon-A-Time's excite me anew
No need for a prince charming or finding love that's true
I hold on to that promise that'll i'll be happy when you
You told me you'll open the door..
To the world for me and you.

You promised a world of magic
When you really didnt need to be
The one who will accept me for me
Even if you really dont know me
I held on to the promise of magic
Even if I have doubted it to be real
I want to go to where I can be still
And listen to my heart and feel

I want to believe that we live a life of fairytales
Somehow find my carriage and flying whales
Because princesses cry for lost love to stay
Spinning until they're in a world where hurts just float away
And even if my love wont be forever too
I know my cold hands will be warmed by you
And your promise of magic
A place to run and hide away
This promise of magic
Let me stay awhile, Let me just say
I feel safe here, even though I know I need to be
Out there soon enough
Where you can't protect me

Im not happy but I am not really sad anymore
As I turn to the world you built for me
As I leave and open the door
I go out to the world and face realities again
I'm comforted by your promise of magic
I'm comforted that though you don't know me
It feels like I have you for a friend.

Note: This poem is written for BTS. For the many times they have picked me up. I am grateful. This too is an ode for ARMY, for the many times they have fell and turned to BTS for comfort.
