HOW DO I HOLD YOUr HAND FOREVER

How do I hold your hand forever?
How do I love you better?
How do I stop looking into your eyes with guilt,
For this fortress of sadness I have built.
And though these eyes seem to always cry,
It doesn’t mean I am sad by your side,
It is in you I find a home to rest,
It is you who brought me happiness.

How do I keep you in my arms forever?
My weary heart wants to rest in yours.
How do I let you know I love you.
Or let you know I don’t blame you,
Our journey has been long and arduous,
And without you I would not have pulled through.
Will you let me take care of you now?
Even if I have no idea how,
To love you truly,
To love you more than you have loved me.

How does a broken and tired queen
Serve and love a mighty King?
Who has been loving,
Who has been true.
How do I let you know this heart belongs to you?
I should have tried to show you more,
You’re the one my heart beats for.
And when I lose you in this lifetime,
I hope I’ll find you in the next,
And not until you are all mine,
I will never stop and rest.

How do we hold hands forever?
Or find each other in the next?
How do I love you for worse or better?
How can I say I have done my best.
When you have days when it is hard to love me,
I hope that you trust me enough
And just love me,
Because It’s your hand I want to hold forever,
Even if it will be hard to hold me too.
