CARMEL
September 13, 2019
This is where my son is buried. Behind the chapel of Carmelites Maboloa Cebu City are the cloistered nuns of the Carmelite Monastery. They have a huge garden behind here and at the very far back is a small cemetery for nuns. My JB is buried alongside the sisters and 2 other baby girls. He is the only boy buried in this cemetery. Yes, my Bjorn is very special.
I have been inside the cloistered area of the carmelite monastery a few times, all when I am doing errands and architect duties for my auntie who is now the Mother Superior of this congregation. You can’t go in unless you really have to. I can’t visit my Bjorn at the cemetery, but I can visit this chapel everyday.
Here he is loved and prayed for every single day. I will talk about his burial rites when I am ready. For now, I ask all my friends to say a prayer for him when they visit this chapel. I ask my friends to love him and acknowledge his existence through prayer.
